Best Bistro in Dublin 26 October 2013
On my return home to Dublin, I booked an evening at my favourite bistro La Maison. The ambiance was as ever inviting, with the most friendly and professional staff.
Olivier Quenet is back at the helm with the flavor and presentation of every dish exquisite.
While I awaited my Cote du Boeuf, my mouth was salivating at all the other dishes passing my envious eyes. New treats this time was the delicious olive tapenade, with chunks of chopped olives and fresh parsley. After my starter of the most succulent Scallops, simply cooked in the shell with Butter, my mind drifted straight back to Brittany where I’ve only ever experienced Scallops cooked this way. To follow Tony the manager presented me with a little glass of Granite St Emillion, which was offered from the Chef, all I can say is oh la la, you must try.
My Beef was tender and juicy, seasoned to perfection and accompanied by chunky chips and a bowl of fresh crispy salad.
I had the most perfect evening and really believe this restaurant deserves to be in the top 10 restaurants of Dublin.
Well done Olivier and your team…I’ll be back!!
